Paprour is one of the 1229th villages and 257th Panchayat of Begusarai district under Bihar state. It is situated in west-south part of district Begusarai. NH-31 divides this village in two parts or we can say that NH-31 is across from the village. It is belieguard with industries. On the north NH-31 and Bihat Railway Hault, in south HFCL, in east IOCL plant and in west HFCL colony. In primitive history it was also in existence because it is situated on the highest part of this area. These they proved it that here people lived in long-long time ago. In modern history, it was a holy place in Bihar state and extremely popular because an Ashram was located whose name was “Gandhi Ashram” in freedom movement.

Paprour lies in south-west Begusarai between latitude 25.44405 north and longitude 86.03703. This village is espands perpendicularly from east to west which used to be a main link road (NH-31). It is surrounded on the north by Bathauli and Hawaspur village, on the east by Deonah Industries and HPCL/BPCL depot and on the west by the HFCL industrial township.

Paprour is 10 Km west of Begusarai city. The nearest Railway station is Barauni Junction from where regular trains are available to all major town and cities across the country. NH-31 road is efficiently linked with Patna, Samastipur, Khagaria district.

It is a predominantly agricultural village. The soil is highly fertile by now the village becoming Small Township but their landlord have lands out of village to gain crops. Wheat, Maze, Pulse are the main agricultural crops raised by farmers in the village.

It is popularly known for its industrial recognition. In this village HPCL and BPCL depot units are situated. Several government and private industries are surrounded it. In Government IOCL, HFCL, BTPS are within 5 Km from the village.
